Online demonstration of the scripts. You will need to register to use the editor. For the purpose of demonstration the scripts security level has been lowered. This means that anyone can edit or delete users.

Authentication Demonstration

1. Register

You first need to register. Do this here => using the auth_regiter.pl script

It is not necessary to use the script to register, you can make your own webpage if you wish and pass the details to auth_register to add the user.

2. Already Registered?

If you are already registered then you can retrieve your details here => using the auth_retrieve.pl script
There is generally no need to do this as the scripts automatically retrieve your details when you run them, however if you forgot your details, that is different...

3. Forgot your password?

If you have forgotten your password then you need to click here to recover your password using the auth_recover.pl script
As all passwords are encrypted using a one way encryption, then no-one can read your password. This script confirms your identity by sending an e-mail to you with a link that will restore your security cookie.
After restoring your cookie, you should then change your password using the profile editor...

4. Edit your details

You can change your details at any time using the profile editor here =>
The profile editor can be used to change all you stored details including your password. The only limitation is that you cannot change your username.

You can now access secure parts of the site such as here => You will need to be registered to see the page.
